The Global Summit on Artificial Intelligence Benefiting Humanity was held in Geneva

On July 7, 2023, during the “AI for Good Global Summit” held in Geneva, Switzerland, a participant interacted with the humanoid robot Sophia. The summit took place from July 6 to 7 in a hybrid format, combining both in-person and online events. Its aim was to explore practical applications of artificial intelligence, scale up solutions with global impact, and accelerate progress toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

The summit was organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the UN specialized agency for information and communication technologies, in collaboration with 40 other UN partner agencies, and co-hosted by the Swiss government.
